Anya has many talents: painting, writing, dancing, sport… “What do you want to be?” I asked her when she was sixteen years old.
“I don’t know. But I know what I do not want to be, and that is good enough for now,” was her simple answer.
Anya graduated Yugoslav and World Literature at the Belgrade University, studied painting at a private school Belgarde, and in London. One of her greater interests was psychology. She read many books from that field, and, as a postgraduate student, she graduated at The Australian College of Applied Psychology.
For fifteen years she was in the corporate world, working as a Senior Manager in Sava Centre, at that time the largest glamorous congress and concert hall in the Balkan.
Anya ‘was powered on love’ and whatever she would do, she would do with love, she would do it with passion. I was fascinated how, while working full time on a very demanding job, she would find time for painting, scuba diving, and having fun. At her spare time, she also worked as a scuba diving instructor.
“I am trying to live my life to the fullest, to enjoy every episode of it. The journey is what matters. If we follow the journey of our heart, it will take us to the right destination,” Anya used to say. That was what she was doing all her life: following her heart. That is what she is doing now, on her journey as a healer and a teacher.
